Yan ming, born in Dingyuan, Anhui in the 1970s, known as the “Poet Photographer”, has travelled all over China in the past ten years and taken photos of numerous ordinary people in the huge country. Wang Han said he is someone who “explores and records the reality of the time like a sadhu”. Other than that, Yan Ming is a best-selling author. This year, he published a new book “So Long, My Childhood”. We paid a special visit to him in his hometown and interviewed him, “I don’t think there is any adult in the world, we are all just children with wrinkles”.
